(a) As the title says, these are guidelines, not rules.
(b) Obviously, as the name of our gallery suggests, we only accept pictures taken on film (that means only film, as stated, no digital shots with added grain or else that just make the shot look like it was taken on film. There is a digital gallery to submit to if you take pictures with a digital camera!). We accept both colour and black and white film.
(c) To make it possible for us to tell if your pictures are in the right place (Filmie Gallery) - that means if your pictures are really taken on film, please include information on the camera, lens & film you used to take the picture. If no information is provided, we will ask you to to edit your deviation and provide us with what we want to know in order to approve your picture.
(d) We don‘t mind if pictures are taken with Dianas, Holgas, Polaroid film or else - whatever the camera or the film - as long as it‘s street (and taken on film), it falls into our guidelines.
(e) We won‘t accept any heavy post-processing, apart from contrast/curves/leves adjustments.
(f) So much for the technical side. - What is even more important, we look for pictures that suggest a story, show uncommon or funny situations, catch the viewers eye. We don‘t look just for any picture of people in the street, we want a decisive moment well caught, interaction between subjects and their surroundings, we want to see emotion - in a nutshell anything that would make us stop and look again.
