35mm @ 35mm

Why 35mm is the focal length we recognize immediately and result so well?
Well, first of all, allows capturing the right amount of contextual background when getting close to the subject, while with a 50mm lens on a full frame you’ll have to be almost on the other side of the street to get a similar result. The longer the focal length, more chances the image will look flat (keep in mind that on a dslr the use of the 24mm gives you 36mm - in average the magnification factor is 1x5 for Nikon, Sony and Pentax and 1x6 for Canon)

It’s a fairly wide length for most situations, to capture an entire scene, but on the other hand it also makes you feel that you’re right there in action, when shooting close ups, making it ideal for shots at 2 or 3 meters away from the scene/subject. And in an urban environment one or two meters make all the difference.
It is said that mimics the field of view of the human eye, and that is why the photos look so natural.

(Note: In Filmie submissions, due to the lack of EXIF information, the indication of Film and/or lens can be an interesting complement to the viewers.)

Have a great Weekend. Happy shooting. :camera:
